In this experience, our local Aboriginal guide will teach
you all there is to know about Boomerangs. Their uses, construction and types
will be explained, furthering a deeper understanding of this ancient tool. The
culturally significant Warriparinga Wetlands provides you with the perfect
backdrop to learn this ancient art. You will even get the opportunity to learn
the proper Boomerang throwing technique at the end of the experience! 

 

Meeting Point

Meet your guide at the reception desk inside the Living
Kaurna Cultural Centre, located on Warriparinga Way, Bedford Park (off Sturt
Road).

 

What to Bring

Please be prepared with suitable attire, including hat and
sunscreen (if required). Bring your own water bottle and water. 

 

Accessibility

The Living Kaurna Cultural Centre venue is accessible for
wheelchair and mobility aid users.

 

Offsite Bookings

If you would like this experience delivered at an offsite
location, please provide details in the ‘Special Requirements’ section of the
booking form. Please note that offsite bookings may be subject to an additional
travel fee. 


Travel Surcharge

Travel is included for offsite booking locations within 20 kms of the Living Kaurna Cultural Centre. For locations beyond this distance, a travel surcharge of $1.50 per additional kilometre applies. Any applicable surcharge will be calculated and added to your booking by the SCI team after your request is received.

 

Minimum Numbers

This experience will operate for groups of 10 - 30 persons.
If minimum numbers are not met, experience may take place pending a minimum
payment.

 

Booking Request

Please note this submission is a request only. An SCI team
member will manually review availability and confirm your booking, from then
you will receive a confirmation email. If your selected timeslot is
unavailable, alternative options will be provided. If you have already paid and
are unable to agree on a new time, a full refund will be issued.

 

Payment Policy

This experience requires a 20% non-refundable deposit to
secure your booking. The remaining 80% owing will be due 7 days after your
experience date. We accept payment via credit card, bank transfer or invoice.

 

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel an experience, 72 hours or more notice is
required. If notified of a cancellation less than 72 hours prior to your
experience departure time, 50% of the total experience cost will be required to
be paid (minus the 20% deposit). This cancellation fee will be sent out via
invoice and will be required to be paid within 7 days. A cancellation will only
be effective when we receive written confirmation via email to enquiry@southernculturalimmersion.com.au.

 

Rescheduling























































If you wish to reschedule an experience, 24 hours or more
notice is required. If notified of a request to reschedule less than 24 hours
prior to your experience start time, then the full cancellation policy applies.
A request to reschedule will only be effective when we receive written
confirmation via email to enquiry@southernculturalimmersion.com.au.
