Ochre Play

In this activity, Southern Cultural Immersion will lead you through an Ochre Painting class aimed at younger emerging artists. In this session, a First Nations artist will introduce several different symbols that you can use to create your very own personalised artwork. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the history of Aboriginal art, and discover the cultural significance that art has in Kaurna culture while using locally source ochre. All materials are provided, including you own canvas each to keep.

Meeting Point

Meet your guide at the reception desk inside the Living Kaurna Cultural Centre, located on Warriparinga Way, Bedford Park (off Sturt Road).

What to Bring

Please be prepared with comfortable clothing. Bring your own water bottle and water. 

Accessibility

The Living Kaurna Cultural Centre venue is accessible for wheelchair and mobility aid users.

Minimum Numbers

This experience will operate for groups of 10 - 30 persons. If minimum numbers are not met, experience may take place pending a minimum payment.

Booking Request

Please note this submission is a request only. An SCI team member will manually review availability and confirm your booking, from then you will receive a confirmation email. If your selected timeslot is unavailable, alternative options will be provided. If you have already paid and are unable to agree on a new time, a full refund will be issued.

Payment Policy

This experience requires a 20% non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. The remaining 80% owing will be due 7 days after your experience date. We accept payment via credit card, bank transfer or invoice.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel an experience, 72 hours or more notice is required. If notified of a cancellation less than 72 hours prior to your experience departure time, 50% of the total experience cost will be required to be paid (minus the 20% deposit). This cancellation fee will be sent out via invoice and will be required to be paid within 7 days. A cancellation will only be effective when we receive written confirmation via email to [email protected].

Rescheduling

If you wish to reschedule an experience, 24 hours or more notice is required. If notified of a request to reschedule less than 24 hours prior to your experience start time, then the full cancellation policy applies. A request to reschedule will only be effective when we receive written confirmation via email to [email protected].
