Ochre Play

In this activity, Southern Cultural Immersion will lead you through an Ochre Painting class aimed at younger emerging artists. In this session, a Kaurna artist will introduce several different symbols that you can use to create your very own personalised artwork. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the history of Aboriginal art, and discover the cultural significance that art has in Kaurna culture while using locally source ochre. All materials are provided, including you own canvas each to keep.

Where to meet your guide:

Please meet our facilitators at the reception desk inside the Living Kaurna Cultural Centre. The centre is off Sturt Road, Bedford Park.

This experience will operate for groups of 10 - 30 persons. Minimums and availability apply. If minimum numbers are not met, experience may take place pending a minimum payment.
