This is a 5-hour bus tour, visiting highly significant and important Kaurna sites down the southern coast. Throughout the day we walk Country together, building a sense of connection and unpacking a shared understanding of cultural values. We will discuss the impacting factors upon Kaurna's significant sites, encouraging open and honest dialogue about developing pathways in working together for future generations.

Booking is inclusive of catered picnic lunch and bus hire.

 

Meeting Point

Meet your guide at the reception desk inside the Living Kaurna Cultural Centre, located on Warriparinga Way, Bedford Park (off Sturt Road). The tour will conclude at this same location.

 

What to Bring

Please be prepared with suitable attire, including hat, sunscreen and umbrella (if required). Bring your own water bottle and water. 

 

Accessibility

This tour requires a moderate level of fitness. The total walking route for the day will cover a distance of approximately 1km and will involve walking through uneven natural terrain such as grass, sand, dirt, and scrub. It will also involve walking up and down hill at specific sites. Unfortunately, there are no accessible facilities, and this tour is not suitable for wheelchair or mobility aid users.

Final dietary requirements for participants must be provided 7 days prior to the experience date via email to enquiry@southernculturalimmersion.com.au. Any changes or updates to dietary requirements will not be accepted after this deadline.

 

Final Numbers

Final participant numbers must be provided 7 days prior to the experience date via email to enquiry@southernculturalimmersion.com.au. This confirmed number of participants will be charged for in the final payment, regardless of any reductions in participant numbers after this time.

 

Booking Request

Please note this submission is a request only. An SCI team member will manually review availability and confirm your booking, from then you will receive a confirmation email. If your selected timeslot is unavailable, alternative options will be provided. If you have already paid and are unable to agree on a new time, a full refund will be issued.

 

Payment Policy

This experience requires a 20% non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. The remaining 80% owing will be due 7 days after your experience date. We accept payment via credit card, bank transfer or invoice.

 

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel an experience, 72 hours or more notice is required. If notified of a cancellation less than 72 hours prior to your experience departure time, 50% of the total experience cost will be required to be paid (minus the 20% deposit). This cancellation fee will be sent out via invoice and will be required to be paid within 7 days. A cancellation will only be effective when we receive written confirmation via email to enquiry@southernculturalimmersion.com.au.

 

Rescheduling

If you wish to reschedule an experience, 24 hours or more notice is required. If notified of a request to reschedule less than 24 hours prior to your experience start time, then the full cancellation policy applies. A request to reschedule will only be effective when we receive written confirmation via email to enquiry@southernculturalimmersion.com.au.
